The staff and owner are passionate and extremely knowledgeable about fish and aquariums, and they are generous with their time and knowledge. Helpful and enthusiastic with novices and expers alike. The store itself is well stocked with quality supplies and the livestock is uniformly healthy and well cared for. Prices are more than reasonable - typically less what you would pay at Petco or one of the other big box stores.
Great place for fish, more fresh water than salt but still a nice selection of salt. Staff was very helpful! Also Google maps sends you to wrong side of 17, use address on website.

I really really like this store. I've been coming here for over two decades, first with my mom as a kid, now as an adult with my own tank. The owner and his help are knowledgeable (if occasionally a little condescending), and they have a great selection of fish, plants, etc. Their advice is always spot on. All the stock I've ever purchased has been exactly what they should be, and with certain creatures, if they breed too much in your setup, Fish Town might be willing to accept tradeins for store credit. I've been able to pay for food, new tank additions, and some other goodies by trading in.
Love to come here and spend hours looking, asking and getting answers from the staff. They're very helpful! And very good selection of fresh water!!!
I will say their prices are often a little more than you might expect online, but I am more than happy to support a local legend like this, especially with livestock when you can be sure you're getting top quality from Fish Town.
