Low budget atmosphere designed to project "warehouse savings" I'm not taking the bait.
Cons: Most of the help are kind of rude, not a friendly vibe. If you can't find something they tell you they don't have it. Twice I was lucky enough because another clerk overheard the reply and knew there was more in the basement. It's a busy place that has to be continually stocked, not a very big store compared to their others. Some clerk's will run ahead of you as if their job is more important than your purchase. They are also like pylons, meaning if they are in your path they won't budge, especially if they are chatting with a co-worker about themselves or hanging out in an isle because it's slow. They also leave dollies, carts and ladders all over the place making browsing the store a bit challenging. It's a customer based business, most clerk's need to realize this and take a customer service course. It's a win win for all if some of these clerk's got a little more considerate of shoppers, the ones that make their paychecks possible. If it's a union, then it all makes perfect sense.
Great selection of all types of alcohol and party food. Nice selection of cheese and meats and even desserts. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are great!
Everyone always very courteous and helpful when it's always somebody available. People out of their way to help different comforting to know, it's also right to have knowledgeable people
I'm quite indifferent about this merchant. It's a mediocre meat & potatoes operation carrying the most common and heavily marketed brands with little diversity, especially in the spirits section. If you are adventurous and like trying new and unusual products, this is not the place to pique your intrest or kindle excitement. As for beer, you will find oceans of the big macros and a decent collection of so called craft. Price points on spirits, wine and beer are only seemingly competitive if they're on sale. There's a cheese area with a rather pedestrian selection of common products along with a few artisan selections. The people working within this area are not very affable or welcoming. For customers, this is a turnoff as these are the first employees you are likely to see or encounter when you enter the store. Cashiers project a similar vibe; occasionally impersonal and generally perfunctory. I have never exited here feeling like a valued client.
Excellent selection of wine, liquor, beer, mixers and cheeses. Staff is very helpful. Prices are good.
All in all it's a store of last resort for me even passing it when it would be of mass convenience for me to stop in.
Pros: Been going here for several years, mostly for beer and occasionally wine and bourbon. Decent selection all around with fair prices.
